The villa is a 35 minute drive from Kalamata Airport which is normally open from 31st March to 31st October, although this can vary year on year.

From 1st November to 30th March the nearest airport is Athens, this is open throughout the year and  has hundreds more direct routes.  Athens airport is a 2 hour 40 minutes drive. There is motorway all the way to Kalamata, it is tolled. From Athens Airport it is the A5 to Korinth and then the A7 to Kalamata. It is well worth stopping off in Korinth in order to see the amazing Korinth Canal. You can observe this best from a foot bridge which goes over the canal.

We recommend hiring a car from which ever airport you arrive at. It is important for you to know that the road from Kakorrema hamlet to the villa is unsurfaced, a SUV, 4x4 wheel drive or car with a high undercarriage is recommended. There a numerous car hire companies based at Kalamata airport. Out of the main ones, we have found Auto Union to be the best but it is worthwhile looking on the internet for local Greek companies which are usually cheaper.

We offer airport transfers from and to Kalamata Airport if required but we can only do this for up to 4 guests.

For those who do not like to fly then we do know people who drive here even from the UK. From the UK they get the ferry from Dover to Calais or the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle from Folkstone to Calais. From Calais they drive via Paris to Venice in Italy and then there is a car ferry from Venice to Patras. Patras is in the north of the Peloponnese or they drive from Venice by road. Reportedly it takes 3 solid days of driving from the UK to Kalamata.
